Events Manager Nashville
Role Description

Reporting directly to the GM, the Event Coordinator oversees all functions related to our corporate, private, and social events through Sensa Padel- Nashville. They work to ensure efficiency in all aspects of the Sensa hosted events. Plan, manage, and perform all administrative and clerical tasks necessary for the successful operation and work closely with our staff, and secure any food and beverage or other vendor services for our events at Sensa Padel-Nashville.

This role is located onsite in the historic Germantown neighborhood in Nashville - known for it's charming residential streets, Victorian architecture, and vibrant culinary scene.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a preferred catering and additional vendor list (pipe and drape, table tops, chairs, etc), for all new and existing corporate, private, or club events, tournaments, and socials.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships and Community to develop and maintain strategic planning for growth for events and socials.
  • Partner with GM to negotiate contracts with vendors
  • Collaborate with Head of Partnerships and Community to build a customized menu of offerings for events (F&B, tables, Padel play, attendees needs, etc)
  • Ensure staffing needs and scheduling of all events and socials are communicated in advance of the event.

Essential Functions

1. Create a preferred catering and additional vendor list (pipe and drape, table tops, chairs, etc), for all new and existing corporate, private, or club events, tournaments, and socials.

2. Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships and Community to develop and maintain strategic planning for growth for events and socials.

3. Partner with GM to negotiate contracts with vendors

4. Collaborate with Head of Partnerships and Community to build a customized menu of offerings for events (F&B, tables, Padel play, attendees needs, etc)

5. Ensure staffing needs and scheduling of all events and socials are communicated in advance of the event. Create, develop, administrate, and oversee new and existing events, tournaments, and socials.

6. Identify the client’s requirements and expectations for each event, tournament, and social.

7. Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.

8. Manage all event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes.

9. Maintain event budgets

10. Work closely with SP Directors and staff on events, tournaments, and socials to be sure above mention is achievable.

11. Ability to appoint, train, supervise, and support a network of staff or volunteers to direct and control the day-to-day operations of event, tournament, socials.

12. Assess all hosted events and their overall success and submit findings.

13. Perform end of the year reviews and bi-yearly reviews and goals setting in collaboration with Head of Partnerships & Community.

Secondary Functions

1.   Complete, in a timely manner, all requests from the GM on the achievements, issues or concerns of events, tournaments, and socials.

2.   Participate in training and other initiatives.

3.   Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience required in the event and hospitality industry and at the management level.
  • Experience with oversight of budgets greater than $10,000.
  • Experience with all sizes, styles, types of events, tournaments, and socials.
  • Outstanding organizational and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated success creating, developing, and overseeing new and existing events.
  • A passion to create a memorable customer experience for our clients.
